WHAT: The Concacaf Gold Cup will descend on Chicago on Monday morning with the launch of Gold Cup Station, a weeklong, immersive soccer experience set in the middle of Union Station’s iconic Great Hall. Gold Cup Station is a massive, 10,000-square foot experience that includes unique and engaging soccer-themed activities where fans can test their own football skills. The innovative fan zone also provides fans with a photo opportunity featuring a replica of the Gold Cup trophy, and a Gold Cup retail storefront. News media, photographers and bloggers are invited to be among the first to experience Gold Cup Station at Union Station’s Great Hall on Monday, July 1. Concacaf welcomes journalists and personalities to take on the Toyota gaming station, the reflex game, radar gun speed kick challenge, soccer billiards and all that Gold Cup Station has to offer.
