LIBERIA, Costa Rica – Kendall Waston scored in the second half and Costa Rica earned a 1-0 win over visiting in an international friendly at the Estadio Edgardo Baltodano Briceño on Tuesday.

It was a fourth straight win for the host, which completed a 2015 season that saw each of its 16 games be decided by one goal or fewer.

After a scoreless opening half, Waston beat goalkeeper Justo Lorente to Michael Barrantes’ left-sided corner kick, heading home from the edge of the six-yard box in the 59th minute.

The host’s lead was nearly doubled four minutes later, but Myron George’s effort was saved by Lorente.

Nicaragua unbeaten streak was snapped at five matches.
