MEXICO CITY – Six players from current Liga MX champion Tigres are featured on Mexico’s roster for a February 10 friendly against Senegal at Marlins Park in Miami.

On Thursday, Tricolor head coach Juan Carlos Osorio announced a 22-man selection that placed heavy emphasis on the 2015-16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinalist.  Israel Jimenez, Jorge Torres Nilo and Jose Arturo Rivas – three members of the stalwart UANL defense – have made a combined 11 appearances in four games during the current Clausura campaign.

Osorio’s squad also contains a trio of midfielders from table-topping Pachuca, including Hirving Lozano – the Golden Ball winner at the 2015 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championship.

Mexico (2W-0D-0L, 6 points) is using the match as preparation for the resumption of World Cup Qualifying next month, when it looks to maintain first place in Group A with two meetings against second-place Canada (1W-1D-0L, 4 points) twice (March 25, away; March 29, home).
