U.S. names roster for U-20 NTC Invitational

CHICAGO – United States under-20 national team head coach Tab Ramos announced Friday a 21-player roster for the 2016 U-20 Men’s NTC Invitational slated to be contested June 29-July 3 in Carson, California.

Of the 21-player roster, nine play at the collegiate level, four with MLS clubs, five compete abroad, two play with U.S. Development Academy clubs and one competes in the USL.

Three squad members - defender Marlon Fossey, midfielder Luca de la Torre and midfielder Weston McKinnie -- received their first under-20 call-ups. De la Torre, who plays with Fulham in England, made three appearances for the U.S. in the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Jonathan Klinsmann, the son of U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, is one of two goalkeepers on the team.

In NTC Invitational games, the Americans will face Costa Rica (June 29), Panama (July 1) and Japan (July 3).
