MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup delivered top moments during its Group Stage, with eight nations remaining in their quest to lift the trophy on July 6.

Ismael Díaz makes Gold Cup history with first half hat-trick
Ismael Díaz became the first Panamanian to score a hat-trick in the first half of a Gold Cup match, and the seventh player overall, in Panama’s 4-1 win against Jamaica. Díaz has tallied 10 career Gold Cup goals and sits second on Panama’s all-time scoring list, behind the legendary Blas Pérez.
Additionally, the hat-trick was the second for Díaz at a Gold Cup after netting three in Panama’s 4-nil win against Qatar in the 2023 Quarterfinals.
Raúl Jiménez continues to climb Mexican scoring ranks
With his goal in Mexico’s 3-2 victory against the Dominican Republic, Raúl Jiménez reached eight Gold Cup goals, passing Jared Borgetti and Javier “Chicharito” Hernández to become Mexico’s third all-time scorer in the tournament. The goal also saw Jiménez tie Borgetti with 40 international goals overall.
Jiménez recorded his eight goals in the Gold Cup by scoring twice in 2013, five times in 2019, and once in the 2025 Group Stage.
Jonathan David becomes Canada’s Gold Cup goal king
Jonathan David’s seventh goal in seven appearances sent him to the top of Canada’s all-time Gold Cup scoring chart.
David scored six times in the 2019, striking the opener in Canada’s 2-nil win against El Salvador, in The Reds’ third Group Stage meeting in the 2025 edition.

Aníbal Godoy sets Panama appearance record
Panama midfielder Aníbal Godoy made his 148th senior national team appearance in the team’s 1-nil win against Guatemala, becoming the country’s most capped player. His career spans every major tournament and defines a generation for Panama.
Frantzdy Pierrot becomes Haiti’s top Gold Cup scorer
Frantzdy Pierrot’s ninth Gold Cup goal made him Haiti’s all-time leader in the tournament, underlining his role as the face of the team’s attack in recent years. Pierrot scored Haiti’s lone goal in its 1-1 draw against Trinidad and Tobago.
The forward reached nine goals in the tournament, having previously notched two in 2019, four in 2021, and two once more in 2023.
Olger Escobar becomes youngest Central American scorer at a Gold Cup
Olger Escobar made his mark as a rising star for Guatemala by breaking a regional record once held by Joel Campbell. The young attacker scored for Los Chapines in its key 3-2 victory against Guadeloupe to become the youngest Central American scorer at a Gold Cup at 18 years and 9 months.

USA reaches 72 Gold Cup wins and extends unbeaten streak
The United States topped Haiti 2-1 in its third Group Stage fixture to claim its 72nd all-time Gold Cup win. The mark is the most for a nation in tournament history. The U.S. also finished the Group Stage unbeaten for a 12th time.
The Stars and Stripes reached 14 consecutive matches without a loss (11 wins, 3 draws), its second-longest undefeated streak in tournament history behind its 18-match run from 2003–2009.
