VANCOUVER, Canada – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup continued as Canada secured a 6-nil win against Honduras in Group B on Tuesday at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. 

The Reds took the lead through Niko Sigur in the 27’, who scored from the center of the box following a give and go with Jonathan David.

Tani Oluwaseyi doubled Canada’s lead right before the half in the 45+2’, with a powerful left-footed strike, to capitalize on a through ball from Richie Laryea.

Tajon Buchanan added another goal in the 48’, netting with a right-footed shot from the right side of the six-yard box. Oluwaseyi provided the assist on the play.

Buchanan sealed his brace in the 65’, finishing from close range following a corner. 

Promise David added to Canada’s tally with a strike from inside the penalty box in the 75’.

Nathan Saliba burried the ball in the top left corner with a curler from outside the box in the 90’ to round out the result for Canada.

Group B action will resume with a doubleheader on Saturday in Houston, Texas. Curaçao will face Canada, followed by El Salvador taking on Honduras.
