MIAMI, Florida – Windows like the FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers or Final Four in a domestic league can help a player reach new goals, allowing them to grow in the game.

Such is the case for Panama’s Aldrith Quintero, who made the jump from Spain to France, signing with FC Fleury 91 for the 2023-24 season.

The 21-year-old MF was one of the most important players for her former team in Liga F, Almaha FC, in the women’s first division in Spain. She made an impact on the field, helping the team reach new heights, like the Final Four in La Copa de La Reina, one of the most important tournaments in Spain.

Her goal allowed Almaha FC to reach this milestone. While they did not reach the Final, the goal put Quintero’s name on the watch list of every club seeking a game-changer in critical situations.

Not only did her Copa de La Reina goal make all the newspapers in Spain, but she made headlines with other scores as well. This week, her goal against Valencia was selected as one of the top five in the Liga F, putting her name among the top players in the country.

Quintero also was a key part of the Panamanian Women’s National Team that wrote a new chapter in their history. In February, the Canaleras flew to New Zealand with a challenging mindset, and they succeeded, qualifying for their first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup after defeating Papua New Guinea and Paraguay.

Quintero and the rest of the Panama roster will go to Australia/New Zealand 2023 to try to keep adding chapters to Concacaf women’s football heritage.

All of these performances in the 2022-23 season in Spain helped Quintero land with a team that finished fourth in the table in one of the major European leagues, the D1.

FC Fleury 91 announced Quintero’s signing at the beginning of June, making her arrival a milestone for Panama women’s football.

With the World Cup ahead, Quintero will be sure to bring all the talent she has to the pitch, proving that this summer is just the beginning.
