The 29-year-old DF knows what it’s like to change scenery to follow her dreams. From a very young age, she flew to the United States to keep growing within the game, while trying to stand out from the rest. Every footballer dreams about playing abroad, and this was no exception for Murillo. Thanks to her display on the pitch both in North and South America, the call from the Honduras National Team didn’t take long. For the daughter of former Motagua player Oscar Murillo, it was the thrill of a lifetime.

Not only that, but she took no time in showing her experience and how far she had come in her footballing career. Thanks to this and what she brings to the pitch, she was named captain of her National Team.

They also competed in the pre-qualifiers for the Concacaf W Championship in 2022, playing against Haiti, Cuba, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the British Virgin Islands, earning a draw with Cuba and wins against St. Vincent and the Grenadines and British Virgin Islands.

The call to play in Austria came after Murillo spent some time in Mexico, training in preseason with the Liga MX Femenil Pachuca, sharing training sessions with some historic footballers that gave her advice before taking flight to Europe.

In February of this year, the FC Lustenau / Dornbirn Ladies announced through their social media that the Honduras captain was joining their ranks, to help them grow and face the season in the best way possible, signing with them for a year.

With the season just starting, Murillo will try to prove to her team what she is capable of, while also preparing to be ready to represent Honduras again and take them to the next level.
