SV Robinhood GK Kohinor: “It’s a positive result”

PARAMARIBO, Suriname In its first ever Scotiabank Concacaf League match, SV Robinhood collected a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their 2019 SCL Preliminary Round series with AS Capoise of Haiti.

The result was earned thanks in large part to the efforts of GK Claidel Kohinor, who made a number of superb saves to secure the clean sheet.

For the Robinhood stopper, the most important thing was earning a result that keeps Robinhood’s chances of advancing well intact going into next week’s second leg in Haiti.

“For us, it’s a positive result because we did not give up any goals,” said Kohinor in an exclusive interview with Concacaf.com following the match.

“That puts us in a good position for the next match in Haiti,” added Kohinor.

Heading into next week’s second leg in Haiti, Kohinor says Robinhood fans can expect an aggressive start from the club.

“I am very positive about the game away in Haiti because we will try to score a goal as quick as possible and then try to maintain the 1-0,” concluded Kohinor.
