ALAJUELA – Alajuelense GK Leonel Moreira was named the winner of the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf League’s Best Goalkeeper Award.
Moreira appeared in seven of the club’s matches during the tournament, conceding just five goals and registering four clean sheets.

It is the third time that Moreira has earned the distinction of being the SCL’s Best GK. The 32-year-old previously collected the award as a member of Herediano in 2018 and in 2020 with Alajuelense.
