Concacaf’s Disciplinary Committee sanctions CSD Municipal

Miami, FL – Concacaf has announced its Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned club CSD Municipal (GUA) following various security incidents that occurred on Thursday, August 18, 2022, during its 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf League (SCL) Round of 16 first leg match versus CD Olimpia (HON).

After due examination of the evidence gathered during their investigation and based on the 2022 SCL Regulations, and the FIFA Disciplinary Code, the Committee has determined that CSD Municipal must play its next two home matches behind closed doors. Additionally, the Committee has imposed the Guatemalan club an undisclosed fine.

The matches that CSD Municipal must play behind closed doors must be served in Concacaf Club Competitions in which the club is eligible to participate.
