Inter Moengo earn big draw on historic night at FCCCC

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic Inter Moengo of Suriname earned a 1-1 draw with O&M FC of the Dominican Republic to take Group A on a historic Wednesday night at the 2021 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The history-making moment came at the beginning of the match when the first ever all-women’s crew in a men’s match in Concacaf history took the field.

The officiating crew was led by Center Referee Tori Penso, while Karen Diaz of Mexico and Stephanie-Dale Yee Sing of Jamaica served as Assistant Referees. Francia Gonzalez worked as the Fourth Referee and Dianne Ferreira-James of Guyana as Assessor.

In the match, O&M jumped out to a 1-0 lead through Hilario Mena in the 11’, but Inter Moengo would get the goal that clinched top spot in Group A when Donnegy Fer struck in the 57’.

Delfines del Este of the Dominican Republic defeated Real Rincon of Bonaire 10-0.

Roberto Victoria led the way with four goals in the 2’, 16’, 19’ and 20’. Carlos Heredia also bagged a brace with scores in the 36’ and 84’, along with goals from Yessy Mena in the 15’, Randy Valdez in the 37’, Carlos Carbonero Mancilla in the 48’ and Dayron Michel in the 53’.
