Cibao, Waterhouse and others learn 2022 CCCC Draw fate

MIAMI, Florida – The six teams participating in the 2022 Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship learned their group stage fate upon the conclusion of the 2022 CCCC Draw on Thursday at Concacaf Headquarters in Miami, Florida.

The tournament features six clubs hailing from Haiti, Dominican Republic and Jamaica split into two groups of three and will take place in the Dominican Republic from May 13-25, 2022.

The results of the Draw are as follows:

Group A: Cibao FC (DOM), Violette Athletic Club (HAI), Cavalier SC (JAM)

Group B: Atlético Vega Real (DOM), Arcahaie FC (HAI), Waterhouse FC (JAM).

The tournament will kick off with round-robin play from May 13-17. The first and second place finishers from each group will advance to the Semifinals.

The Semifinals will be played on May 20, followed by the Final and 3rd Place Match on May 22.

The Champion of the 2022 CCCC will qualify directly for the 2023 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League, while the second and third place finishers will qualify for the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf League.

The fourth-place team will still have an opportunity to qualify for the 2022 SCL via a playoff on May 24 against the winner of the 2022 Concacaf Caribbean Club Shield.

Cibao are the lone former champion in the tournament, having lifted the trophy in the 2017 edition, while Waterhouse finished as runners-up in the 2019 and 2020 tournaments.
