Concacaf teams learn Beach Soccer World Cup group fate

MIAMI, Florida The United States and El Salvador learned their FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Russia 2021 group stage fate following the final draw on Thursday at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland.

The U.S. and El Salvador will be the two representatives from Concacaf in the tournament after qualifying from the 2021 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship last May in which El Salvador . were crowned champions and USA runner-up.

The U.S. have been drawn into Group A where they will face Paraguay, Japan and hosts RFU (Football Union of Russia). The U.S. will kick off the tournament on August 19 against RFU, followed by clashes with Japan on August 21 and Paraguay on August 23.

This will be the sixth appearance in a FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup for the U.S.

El Salvador have been drawn into Group C, where they will take on Belarus, Switzerland and Brazil.

El Salvador begin their group stage campaign on August 20 versus Belarus, followed by Brazil on August 22 and Switzerland on August 24.

This will mark El Salvador’s fifth appearance in a Beach Soccer World Cup.

The tournament will be played August 19-29, 2021 in Moscow.
