Workshop for Concacaf team managers to take place in Jamaica

Kingston, Jamaica.- From July 18- 20 at the facilities of  the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel,  a training workshop will be held for team managers and general secretaries of various associations within the Confederation.

The seminar is part of Concacaf’s overall strategy to grow the game in our region, with the aim of developing the management capacity of teams. This investment in human capital has become increasingly necessary given the growing amount of power granted to our Member Associations, including the League of Nations.

The 3-day workshop coordinated by the instructors David Sabir (Bermuda) and Renee John Williams (Trinidad & Tobago ) will be addressed for General Secretaries and Team Managers of the entire Confederation and is designed to train Club Managers with the necessary skills to carry out their functions effectively. The TMW will also focus on the complexities of effective management of national teams/clubs through theory and practical opportunities.The covered topics are:

• Functions and responsibilities of the team manager

• Pre-event management

• Match day administration

• Tournament management

• Event management

• Knowledge of the stadium

• The training facility

• Management of team sports equipment

Program participants should deliver similar programs in their metropolitan areas to develop the general administrative infrastructure of the local team.
