The Soca Warriors, who conceded nine goals in their previous three qualifiers, remained in fifth place, but trail the fourth-place USA only on goal difference (+1 to -3).

Mexico: On Friday, Mexico took over first place in the Hexagonal with a 2-0 win over host Costa Rica, which had won its opening two matches and dropped into second place.
