CASTRIES, St. Lucia – The St. Lucia men’s national team departs with a 17-man squad on Tuesday for Dominica, where it will participate in the Windward Islands Football Tournament, April 30 – May 4.

The four-team competition, which also includes the host nation, Grenada and St. Vincent & the Grenadines, will be played entirely at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.

In 2013, Grenada captured the event, which was contested for the first time since 2001.  Two days before that tournament was to start, Dominica withdrew after head coach Kurt Hector and defender Noran Jno Hope were killed in a car accident.

Late last year, St. Lucia traveled to Dominica for a two-game friendly series in Roseau with each winning once by the same 1-0 score.
