Scotiabank CONCACAF U-13 Champions League draw set for Wednesday

MIAMI – CONCACAF and Scotiabank announced Monday details of the draw for the Scotiabank CONCACAF Under-13 Champions League invitational tournament. The draw will take place Wednesday, April 26, 9:00 a.m., at the JW Marriott in the Polanco district of Mexico City.

Sixteen teams – up from eight in previous years -- from each of CONCACAF’s three sub-regions will compete in the event to be played in Mexico this August. Thirteen of the sixteen clubs set to participate have already been determined, including the defending champion of the 2016 edition – El Salvador’s Santa Ana.

The draw will sort the 16 participants into four groups of four for round-robin play. 

The players participating in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Under-13 Champions League represent the youngest age group competing in an official CONCACAF event, following the establishment of under-15 tournaments in both boys’ and girls’ categories in recent years.
