TOLUCA, Mexico – The 2017 Scotiabank CONCACAF U-13 Champions League continued Sunday with the second day of first-round play at the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol’s headquarters in Toluca, Mexico. 

Here are some of the highlights: 

- Isaias Violante Romero scored two goals in a second straight match as Liga Municipal Boca del Rio earned a 4-1 victory over Victoria.

- Plaza Amador picked up its first win, defeating Portmore United thanks to a pair of goals by Didier Alcides Dawson Villarreal. 

- In Group B, defending champion Santa Ana and Toronto FC registered their first wins, prevailing over Universidad Cantera Norte and Real Esteli, respectively. 

- Alajuelense topped San Salvador, 2-0, for its second consecutive Group C by shutout. 

- Fuerza Naranja scored two goals in the second half to overcome Herediano, 2-1, for its first win of the competition. 

The third annual invitational tournament, featuring 16 of the region’s top under-13 clubs representing 10 different CONCACAF Member Associations will conclude with the match for third place and final on August 12.

El Salvador’s Santa Ana, which defeated Comunicaciones in the 2016 final (0-0, 5:4 pens), is the defending champion.
