Guerrier inclusion highlights Haiti squad for Japan friendly

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – Haiti has called up 20 players for its international friendly against host Japan on October 10, 2017, at Nissan Stadium (also known as International Stadium Yokohama) in Yokohama, Japan.

 It will Les Grenadiers first match since falling 3-0 to host Nicaragua in a CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying playoff on March 28, 2017.

 The roster is highlighted by the inclusion of midfielder Wilde-Donald Guerrier, who has scored two goals in seven games for Azerbaijan’s Qarabag in 2017/18 UEFA Champions League play.

 Forward Duckens Nazon also earned a call-up after scoring two goals in eight games this season for English League Two side Coventry City.  The 23-year-old’s seven career goals for Haiti have all been scored in competitive matches, including a team-high three in CONCACAF qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
