As CONCACAF’s only two-time Female Player of the Year (2013, 2016), Alex Morgan enjoyed a 2017 season that could bring her a third honor. Prior to scoring nine goals in 13 games for the Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League, she won multiple titles with Olympique Lyonnais in 2017: UEFA Women’s Champions League, French Division 1 Féminine (8 games/5 goals from January 1-May 30, 2017) and the Coupe de France Féminine. Morgan appeared in 14 games for the United States in 2017 (7 goals, 2 assists).
