Montserrat, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Antigua and Barbuda secure League C wins

Three shutouts highlight the League C matchday.

MIAMI – The 2026/2027 Concacaf Nations League continued on Saturday with League C group stage fixtures.

The matchday saw Montserrat, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Antigua and Barbuda secure key victories in their respective matchups.

Montserrat 3, British Virgin Island 0

The first match of the day presented a 3-nil win for Montserrat against the British Virgin Islands in Group A at TCIFA National Stadium in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands.

Following a scoreless first half, Montserrat broke the deadlock in the 58’ as Brandon Barzey capitalized on a rebound to strike from inside the box.

Lyle Taylor doubled Montserrat’s advantage in the 67’ with a first-time finish from inside the box. Taylor sealed his brace and rounded out the victory through a header in the 71’.

Saint Martin 0, U.S. Virgin Islands 2

The U.S. Virgin Islands defeated Saint Martin 2-nil in Group C at Bethlehem Soccer Stadium in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Jannick Liburd placed the hosts in the lead in the 18’, with the attacker slotting the ball at the right-bottom corner on a one-on-one opportunity.

Liburd added a second for the U.S. Virgin Islands in the second half in the 83’, securing his brace through a right-footed effort from the center of the box.

Antigua and Barbuda 5, Anguilla 0

The third League C match of the day saw Antigua and Barbuda earn a 5-nil victory against Anguilla at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Saint George, Antigua and Barbuda.

Christopher Douglas opened the scoring in the first minute of play to give Antigua and Barbuda the lead with a header as he capitalized on a pinpoint delivery into the box from the right.

Antigua and Barbuda doubled their lead in the 16’ through a long-range rocket from Dion Pereira.

The home side capped off an impressive attacking first-half display with three more goals: Douglas scored his second of the match in the 21’, while D’Andre Bishop and Kayonte George found the back of the net in the 35’ and 43’ respectively.
