Decision on Honduras Appeal of Dereck Moncada Red Card

Miami, FL – The Football Federation of Honduras submitted an appeal to Concacaf regarding the direct red card issued to its player Dereck Moncada during the Concacaf Nations League match against Jamaica on Monday, September 28.

In accordance with Concacaf’s direct red card appeals process, a panel of three refereeing experts was appointed to review the matter.

After reviewing the on-field decision and the evidence presented by the Football Federation of Honduras, the panel unanimously determined that the on-field decision of a red card should be overturned.

As a result, Mr. Moncada is now eligible to participate in Honduras’ upcoming Concacaf Nations League match against Martinique on Friday, October 2.
