2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup Kicks Off

The tournament offers a pathway to the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Miami, FL (Tuesday, August 4, 2026) – The 2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup will kick off today, Tuesday, August 4. The fourth edition of the tournament will feature 10 clubs competing for the Caribbean title.

Pathway to Continental Competition

In addition to the regional crown, the Caribbean Cup offers a pathway to the 2027 edition of the region’s premier men’s club competition, the Concacaf Champions Cup.

The tournament champion, runner-up, and third-place finisher (a total of three clubs) will qualify for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, with the champion receiving a bye to the Round of 16.

**Participating Teams

**
The full field of 10 participating teams is now set following the conclusion of the CFU Club Shield on August 2.

Jamaica's Mount Pleasant FA claimed the title, defeating the Dominican Republic's Delfines del Este FC in the Final. As a result, both sides have now qualified for the 2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup. The groups are divided as follows:

• Group A: Violette AC (HAI), Defence Force FC (TRI), Club Sando FC (TRI), SV Broki (SUR), Delfines del Este FC (DOM)
• Group B: Cibao FC (DOM), Cavalier FC (JAM), Portmore United FC (JAM), Salcedo FC (DOM), Mount Pleasant FA (JAM)

**Competition Format
**
The tournament will begin with a Group Stage comprising two groups of five clubs each. Clubs will play each other once for a total of four matches per club (two at home and two away) across five scheduled weeks.

Following the conclusion of the Group Stage, the top two finishers in each group will advance to the Knockout Stage, which will consist of home-and-away series. The stage will begin with the Semifinals and conclude with the Third-Place matches and Final, where the Caribbean’s champion will be crowned.

Semifinal pairings will be determined based on the Group Stage standings, with the winner of Group A facing the runner-up of Group B (1A vs. 2B), and the winner of Group B facing the runner-up of Group A (1B vs. 2A). The group winners will host the second-leg Semifinals.

In both the Third-Place match and Final, the clubs with the most points accumulated throughout the competition will host the decisive second legs.

Tournament History

Mount Pleasant FA of Jamaica is the reigning Concacaf Caribbean Cup champion, having captured its first title in 2025. The Jamaican club defeated O&M FC of the Dominican Republic in the Final to claim its regional crown.

The first two editions of the competition were won by Suriname’s SV Robinhood (2023) and Jamaica’s Cavalier FC (2024).
