Three debutants made their introductions by securing spots in the Semifinals: Violette AC won Group A to seal its Semifinals berth, while Club Sando and Portmore United FC finished second in Group A and Group B respectively.

Forward Cory Burke, who became the oldest player to tally a brace in the Group Stage of the competition at 34 -years-old, delivered a standout performance with a brace in Portmore United FC’s pivotal 2-1 victory on the road against Cibao FC.

The defending champion broke new ground by becoming the first reigning champion to advance to the Semifinals the season after clinching the title. The Jamaican club achieved this with a crucial 1-nil victory over Cavalier FC to climb up the standings and finish first with seven points and a 2W-1D-1L record.
