MIAMI, Florida – The Round of 16 of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup is now complete. It was an exciting two weeks of action around the region in which there were a number of top performances from young players, but the one who stood tallest was New England Revolution attacker Esmir Bajraktarevic.
By virtue of his performances in the two legs against Alajuelense of Costa Rica, the 19-year-old Bajraktarevic is the 2024 Champions Cup on The Rise player for the Round of 16.
Bajraktarevic helped the Revolution defeat the 2023 Concacaf Central American Cup winners 5-1 on aggregate, including a 4-0 victory in the first leg at home.

Bajraktarevic was excellent in the first leg in scoring a goal from two shots, while also collecting three steals on the night.
Overall, Bajraktarevic finished the two legs having played 164 minutes with a goal and an assist, to go along with the three steals in helping guide New England to their first quarterfinal since 2022.
