Miami, FL – The Concacaf Disciplinary Committee has imposed sanctions on CSD Xelajú MC and its player Jorge Aparicio following multiple incidents that occurred during the second leg match of the 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup Final on December 3, 2025.
 
After reviewing the evidence and documentation gathered during its investigation, and in accordance with the applicable Disciplinary Code, the Committee has fined the Guatemalan club an undisclosed amount for violations of competition security protocols, as well as media and commercial regulations.
 
The Committee has also imposed a two-match suspension on player Jorge Aparicio and fined him an undisclosed amount for making an inappropriate and offensive gesture during the Final’s awards ceremony. Additionally, the Committee has ordered CSD Xelajú MC to return the 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup Fair Play Award, as Mr. Aparicio’s conduct was inconsistent with the principles of the award.
 
Mr. Aparicio must serve his two-match suspension during upcoming editions of Concacaf Club Competitions in which he is eligible to participate.
