LEONORA, Guyana – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Nicaragua earning a 3-1 win over Guyana in Group B on Monday at Leonora National Track & Field Center in Leonora, Guyana.
Sheyla Flores placed Nicaragua in the lead in the 3’ with a left-footed shot from outside the box.
Annalisa Vincent equalized for Guyana in the 18’ with a header to connect on a service from Rylee Traicoff.
Mayqueling Márquez retook the lead for Nicaragua in the 35’ with a right-footed shot from a difficult angle.
Doriana Aguilar sealed the victory in the 49’ with a right-footed shot in the box as Nicaragua took the full three points.
The victory lifted Nicaragua into first place in Group B. Both nations will retake the field in the February-March match window when Guyana hosts Dominica, and Nicaragua take on Jamaica.
