BAYAMON, Puerto Rico – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Puerto Rico earning a 10-nil win against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Group A on Friday at Estadio Juán Rámon Loubriel in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
The first goal came in the 11’ from the boots of Danielle Marcano, with a left-footed volley in the area. Captain Jill Aguilera was ready in the box to double the lead for Las Boricuas in the 21’.
Juelle Love secured Puerto Rico’s third goal in the 23’. Emma González was the author of the fourth goal in the 27’ with a left-footed shot in the box.
Love registered a brace and the fifth goal for Puerto Rico in the 34’. Marcano also scored a brace, finding the net for the second time in the 42’.
Gemma Gillespie closed the first half adding the seventh goal in the 45’.
After a collective play, Puerto Rico’s eight goal came from a header by Marilia Nieves-Melchor in the 50’.
Marcano picked up a foul in the box, leading to Aguilera converting from the penalty spot in the 74’. Aguilera completed her hat-trick to close the scoring in the 77’.
Puerto Rico rose to the top of Group A with the victory. The nation will play its third match of the competition against the U.S. Virgin Islands on Thursday.
