ARNOS VALE, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Mexico earning a 14-nil win against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Group A on Saturday at Arnos Vale Sporting Complex in Arnos Vale, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mexico was in command as Charlyn Corral finished with seven goals and Jacqueline Ovalle added a hat trick in an offensive display.
Corral opened the scoring in the 6’ with a chip in the box. Ovalle netted her first of the night in 14’ off a service from Alice Soto.
Corral got her second in the 22’ on a shot in the area, and her third in the 45’ off a header.
Ovalle also picked up a great assist with a strong cross across the box to connect with Scarlett Camberos in the 25’.
Up 5-nil at the half, Mexico’s offense didn’t slow down in the second half.
Alice Soto got on the scoresheet in the 55’, before Ovalle netted a beautiful curler two minutes later, and Corral furthered her account in the 61’.
Ovalle completed her hat trick in 65’, outrunning a defender into the box and finishing off the play with a strong shot.
Mexico’s success in the box continued with Montserrat Saldívar and María Sánchez scoring from close range just two minutes apart from each other, in the 73’ and 75’, respectively.
Corral tallied her final three goals in the 86’, 90’, and 90+3’ to put the finishing touches on the rout.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will take on Puerto Rico at the end of February. Mexico will retake the field against Saint Lucia during the March fixtures.
