ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Costa Rica earning a 2-1 win over Grenada in Group C on Saturday at Kirani James Athletics Stadium in St. George’s, Grenada.
Naomi Bedeau handed Grenada the lead in the 32’ with a right-footed finish to the bottom-left corner following a set piece delivery into the box.
Priscila Chinchilla equalized for Costa Rica in the 45’+2’, with a right-footed shot from inside the the box to capitalize on a through ball from Sheika Scott.
Chinchilla struck from close range in the 61’ to secure her brace and the comeback for Costa Rica. Melissa Herrera provided the assist on the play.
Rocky Rodríguez had the opportunity to further extend Costa Rica’s lead with a penalty in the 71’, but her attempt was saved by Grenada goalkeeper Rashida Herry.
