Miami. - Bermuda and the Dominican Republic are neck and neck in the race for the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup Prelims spot, as Group C of League B winds down in the Road to W Gold Cup tournament on Friday.

One point is keeping Bermuda at the top of the group over second place Dominican Republic. Third place Barbados must win out and have results fall their way to have chance at the top spot, while Saint Vincent and the Grenadines looks to close its campaign with its first victory.

Barbados vs. Dominican Republic

Barbados hosts the Dominican Republic at the Wildey Astro Turf Stadium in Bridgetown, Barbados.

The Dominican Republic won the previous meeting, 3-0, in September. Maria Torreira, Brianne Reed, and Vanessa Kara scored to start the nation’s current three-match winning streak.

Barbados started its campaign with a victory before its loss to the Dominican Republic in the second matchday, starting a three-match winless streak. Rianna Cyrus leads the Lady Tridents with three goals and Ashanee Thompson is second on two, with both players providing multi-goal performances.

The Dominican Republic have had 10 different players provide goals. Jazmin Jackson leads the attack with four goals, with Kat Gonzalez also scoring multiple times in the group stage.

Bermuda vs. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Bermuda hosts Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.

Jya Ratteray Smith scored a brace in the previous meeting between the two nations, a 4-0 away win for Bermuda on matchday two. Eva Frazzoni and Khyla Brangman also scored to continue a winning start for Naquita Robinson’s team.

A victory would maintain Bermuda in first place ahead of what could be the first place deciding match at the Dominican Republic on the final matchday. Jaden Masters and Aaliyah Nolan lead the Lady Warriors with three goals apiece.

The Lady Heat aspire to exit with their first win of the competition after falling in their initial encounters. Altica Benn posted five saves in the previous encounter with Bermuda and is coming off an 11-save performance against the Dominican Republic.
