PANAMA CITY – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup continued with the Orlando Pride securing a 5-nil victory against Chorrillo FC in Group A on Tuesday at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City, Panama.
Julie Doyle scored the opening goal in the 4’, ready in the area to strike a header into the back of the net.
Summer Yates doubled Orlando’s lead in the 6’ with a left-footed shot inside the box. Yates secured her brace in the 22’, with a right-footed shot in the center of the box.
Melissa Herrera of Chorrillo FC committed a foul on Zara Chavoshi inside the penalty area in the 57’ to award a penalty kick to Orlando. Yates sealed her hat-trick from the spot in the 58’, sending the ball to the left bottom corner.
Ally Lemos added a fifth for the NWSL side in the 84’ from a long volley on the edge of the area.
With the result, Orlando Pride moves to the top of Group A with two wins to open its campaign. The club’s next match will be against Mexican side Club America on September 30 in Mexico City.
Chorrillo FC will close its Group Stage participation on October 14 when it visits LD Alajuelense.
