MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup continues with CF Monterrey Femenil and Vancouver Rise FC Academy facing off in Group B on Thursday at Estadio BBVA in Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Monterrey will seek to keep its offensive rhythm following an eight-goal display against Alianza Women FC. Alice Soto scored a hat-trick to co-lead the Top Scorer list.
Vancouver Rise FC Academy became the first Canadian team to score a goal in the W Champions Cup in its previous encounter. Anna Bout wrote her name in the history books with her goal against Gotham FC.
Milestones and Records Week 3
Rayadas de Monterrey set a new record for most headed goals scored in a single match in W Champions Cup history (3), surpassing the previous mark of 2 goals scored against Frazsiers Whip on September 5, 2024.
CF Monterrey’s 8-0 victory stands as the third-largest win in W Champions Cup history, behind América Femenil’s 9-0 over Chorrillo FC (September 3, 2025) and NY Gotham FC’s 13-0 against Frazsiers Whip (October 2, 2024).
Leonardo Álvarez set a new record for most goals scored by a team under a debuting head coach (8-0), surpassing the 7-0 wins by Ángel Villacampa (América Femenil vs. Rise Academy, August 21, 2024) and Adrián González (Washington Spirit vs. Alianza Women, September 17, 2025).
Alice Soto netted a hat-trick, becoming the youngest player to do so in tournament history (19 years, 5 months, 22 days), the first Mexican to score a hat-trick, and the seventh overall hat-trick in the competition.
Anna Bout scored her first goal in the competition, becoming the third Rise Academy player to find the net on her tournament debut. She is the only one of the three not to finish the match (62 minutes played) and registered the fastest goal by a debutant for the Canadian club in tournament history (13:44).
Rise Academy suffered its fourth consecutive defeat in the tournament but ended a streak of three straight matches without scoring.
Day Silva, Diana Evangelista, Katty Martínez, and Jermaine Seoposenwe all scored their first-ever goals in the tournament.
Nicole Pérez became the ninth player to deliver two assists in a single match. She is the seventh Mexican to do so and the second youngest (24 years, 0 months, 18 days), only behind Montserrat Saldívar (18 years, 11 months, 14 days for América Femenil vs. Chorrillo FC, September 3, 2025).
