MIAMI – Reigning Concacaf W Champions Cup winners Gotham FC will face ASFAR in the
Play-off for third place at the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026 on Sunday at Arsenal
Stadium in London, England.

The occasion marks the first time the sides share the pitch. It will be the first match between Concacaf and CAF clubs in a FIFA women’s club tournament.


The two-time NWSL champions made its FIFA Women’s Champions Cup debut against
CONMEBOL side Corinthians, losing the tournament 1-nil in the Semifinal. The likes of
Midge Purce and Savannah McCaskill will seek to lead the side to its first victory in the
tournament.


ASFAR fell 6-nil to European champions Arsenal FC in the other Semifinal. The Moroccan
side earned its place among the last four by winning 2-1 against Wuhan Jiangda WFC, with
goals from Hajar Said and Sanaa Mssoudy, in Round Two of the First Phase last December.
