MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup continues its opening match week as defending champions NJ/NY Gotham FC host CF Monterrey Femenil in Group B on Wednesday at Icahn Stadium in New York City, USA.
The two sides meet again in the Tri-State area after playing to a nil-nil draw in the Group Stage of the inaugural edition.
Gotham FC became the first club to lift the W Champions Cup last May, crowning themselves in the Greater Monterrey area by winning the W Champions Cup Finals. FIFA Women’s World Cup winners Esther González, who scored the winning goal in the W Champions Cup final, Rose Lavelle and Olympic bronze medal goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger are some of the marquee stars for the NWSL side.
Rayadas returns to the competition as winners of the Apertura 2024 season. Alice Soto and Christina Burkenroad will be some of the Mexican stars looked upon to get a valuable away victory.
