JUAREZ, Mexico – Honduras under-20 international Wesly Decas was introduced Tuesday as the newest addition to the roster of Liga Ascenso Bancomer MX side FC Juarez.

The 18-year-old defender was one of the top players in the 2017 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship, helping the Catrachos finish as runner-up to the United States (6 games/0 goals) and a place in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup (3/0). He also played in the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup (2/0).

Decas, who was the subject of possible interest from England’s Liverpool, has also played for the Motagua reserves and Atletico Independiente in the Honduran Ascenso.

FC Juarez currently sits third in the Ascenso standings with a 3W-2D-1L record.
