BRADENTON, Florida – Costa Rica is on its way to the Qualification Stage of the 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Championship after claiming Group E thanks to a 6-0 win against Saint Lucia.

Saint Lucia proved a tough foe until moments before the halftime whistle when Alexis Gamboa struck in the 45+1’.

It was just the break the Ticos needed, as a strong second half with scores from Rashir Parkins (64’), Josue Abarca (77’), Carlos Villegas (85’, 89’) and Joshua Navarro (90’) paved the way for a spot in the next round.

Earlier in the day, both Bermuda and Barbados earned their first point of the CU20 thanks to the stellar goalkeeping of Bermuda’s Quinaceo Hunt and Barbados’ Nashton Browne in a 0-0 draw.
