BRADENTON, Florida.- Guadeloupe took a big step toward winning Group C in 2019 Concacaf Under-17 Championship Qualifying with a 5-1 victory over Bahamas.

With Saturday’s victory, Guadeloupe only need a draw or win in its group finale versus Aruba to clinch a berth in the CU17.

Bahamas made things very interesting to start, as Terrence Chisolm scored in the 19’ to make it 1-0 to Bahamas.

But Guadeloupe would kick into gear and goals from Youry Davy Gavelot (20’), Thomas Gille (40’) and Lohan Molia (44’) gave Les Gwada Boys a 3-1 halftime lead.

Scores from Louis-alexandre Merabli in the 47’ and Hiendy Confiac in the 53’ then sealed the 5-1 win.

In the day’s other action, an early Zion Benita goal in the 10’ was enough to hand Bonaire all three points against a tough Aruba side.

Group C will conclude on Monday with Guadeloupe taking on Aruba, while Bahamas will take on Saint Martin.
