ST. JOHN’S, Antigua& Barbuda -- Asot’s Arcade Parham FC defeated Cool & Smooth-Argos-KFC-Greenbay Hoppers FC 2-0 on Sunday to complete its 2014/15 Antigua & Barbuda Football Association Premier Division title-winning season.
Conroy Hall (40’) and Trevaughn Harriette (81’) scored at the Antigua Recreation Ground for the champion, which compiled a 15W-2D-1L (45 GF, 7 GA) record.
Harriette finished as the league’s second leading scorer with 12 goals, only two behind Grenades’ Rakeem Henry.
Parham head coach Rolston Williams, who also leads the national team, said winning the title is satisfying after having come close last season.
“Last year we were chasing SAP and it was difficult,” he expressed. “When a team already has a momentum, it’s hard to break that momentum.
“The reality is you can’t depend on people to do the job for you. You have to do the job for yourself. So I liked to get the lead (in the division) early and tried to keep that lead.”
SAP dealt Parham its only loss on January 25 (1-0).
