PANAMA CITY, Panama – The Federación Panameña de Fútbol confirmed Wednesday that Leonardo Pipino and Juan Carlos Cubilla will return as the head coaches of the under-20 and under-17 national teams, respectively.

Pipino led Panama to a berth in the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, following a runner-up finish in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship earlier that same year. The 38-year-old Argentinean was also in charge of the nation’s under-23 team, which did not get past the group stage of the 2015 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championship.

The 44-year-old Cubilla, a former Panama international, was in charge of the Canaleros’ 2015 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship campaign in Honduras. Although the side did not advance after compiling a 3W-0D-2L group-stage record, it did score a tournament-best 15 goals in that phase of the competition.
