- Includes exclusive Match Ball opportunity for new Concacaf Champions Cup, men’s and women’s Gold Cups and Concacaf Nations League Finals
- Includes all Concacaf men’s and women’s national team and club competitions including the best teams in USA, Mexico, Canada, Central America and Caribbean
Concacaf has launched a request for proposals (RFP) process to market its official match ball, equipment, and sports apparel category. Companies have been invited to express interest in partnering with the FIFA Confederation for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean in a process that will conclude by the end of the year.
This opportunity comes at a hugely exciting moment for the organization with a new elite club competition – the Concacaf Champions Cup – launching in 2024, as well as an inaugural women’s Gold Cup for the top women’s national teams in the region, including USA and Canada.
Alongside those new tournaments are the renowned men’s Gold Cup, which consistently delivers huge crowds in packed NFL stadiums and massive TV audiences on major networks. Three of Concacaf’s associations – Canada, the United States and Mexico – will host the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the confederation will deliver a host of elite competitions in the coming years to harness that opportunity.
Concacaf has had exclusive agreements for its official match ball, equipment and apparel with Nike going back to 2009. This RFP is for a commercial term running through 2030, covering what is sure to be a significant period of growth for football in the region.
“This is a very exciting moment in the development of Concacaf with a compelling new club competition which will deliver big Liga MX vs MLS rivalries on the horizon, a new elite women’s national team tournament including some of the world’s best teams and players, and the opportunity to be a key part of our Gold Cups and Nations League Finals, which are already hugely popular across our region and beyond”, said Concacaf General Secretary, Philippe Moggio.
“The brand visibility potential for our partners and sponsors is tremendous with interest in our tournaments, and in the sport more widely, growing apace in the region. Concacaf and our tournaments are ideally placed to take advantage of that heading towards 2026 and beyond,” added Moggio.
The Concacaf competitions included in official Match Ball, Equipment and Apparel opportunity include:
- Concacaf Gold Cup (Best men’s national teams from North America, Central America, Caribbean)
- Concacaf W Gold Cup (Best women’s national teams from North America, Central America, Caribbean)
- Concacaf Nations League Finals (Final Four Men’s National Teams from North America, Central America, Caribbean)
- Concacaf Champions Cup (Top-league men’s clubs from USA, Mexico, Canada, Central America and Caribbean)
- Concacaf U20 Championships (Men’s and women’s U20 qualification tournaments for U20 FIFA World Cups)
The Concacaf RFP process for the Confederation’s official match ball and apparel opportunity is being managed by the organization’s commercial department, led by Chief Commercial Officer Heidi Pellerano. Interested parties should contact Pellerano at (commercial@concacaf.org). Companies have until November 9 to express initial interest, after which further details on the timetable of the process will be provided.
