Gleofilo Vlijter’s six goals were a big boost for Suriname as the then-19-year-old took hold of the top scorer spot across CNL. Vlijter turned 20 on September 17.
The two nations face off for the eighth time ever on Friday. Their last meeting came during the second round of the 2016 Caribbean Cup – a 2-1 win for Suriname.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will host Suriname for only the third time. The Vincy Heat leads the all-time series with three wins to two.
