MIAMI. - Nicaragua and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines look to finish October by staying atop their respective groups, as the 2023–24 Concacaf Nations League continues with three League B encounters on Monday.

At the top of Group B is Nicaragua with a perfect 3-0-0 record, but the Dominican Republic is chasing the leaders down with three points separating the two. Montserrat and Barbados round out the group, as the latter continues to search for its first victory.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines looks to hold onto first place in Group C after a loss to French Guiana, who currently ranks second on goal differential over Bermuda. Belize occupies the last spot, but is only three points removed from the promotion place.

French Guiana hosts Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at the Pierre-Aliker Stadium in Fort-de-France, Martinique.

With a 4-1 victory at Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, French Guiana took an important step towards its promotion hopes. It was the first time that French Guiana scored four goals in an CNL match and their first win in four matches. A repeat result, this time as the hosts, would seal a move to the top.

Thomas Nemouthe, Arnold Abelinti, Loic Baal and Jules Haabo all scored for French Guiana in the prior match, while Jahvin Sutherland scored the lone goal for Vincy Heat. Goalkeeper Donovan Leon also stood out with four saves in the meeting between the two on Friday.

Dominican Republic vs. Barbados

The Dominican Republic welcomes Barbados to the Moca 85 Stadium in Moca, Dominican Republic.

A five-goal victory over Barbados kept the Dominican Republic in the chase for first place. Three of those goals came from set pieces, one from a corner and two off free kick chances, including one that forced an own goal.

Dorny Romero extended his tally to three, while Edarlyn Reyes, Heinz Morschel and Riki Alba picked up their first goals of the tournament. Romero now has six career CNL goals, the most of any Dominican Republic player. Barbados defender Andre Applewhaite will miss this encounter due to suspension.

Nicaragua vs. Montserrat

Juan Luis Perez, Harold Medina and Jacob Montes scored in Nicaragua’s 3-0 victory in Montserrat. The Blue and While now look to repeat the result at home to extend its perfect start to four unbeaten.

Nicaragua are also unbeaten in their last nine CNL matches with seven wins and two draws.

Montserrat is searching for its second victory of its campaign. Lyle Taylor is the team’s leading scorer after posting a brace in September but will miss this encounter after being shown a red card in the 49’ of Friday’s encounter.
