MANAGUA, Nicaragua Nicaragua National Team Head Coach Henry Duarte is hard at work preparing for his team’s next Concacaf Nations League clash versus Anguilla on October 14 in Heredia, Costa Rica.

On Monday Duarte met with reporters and announced that the full squad will be announced on Thursday and the first day of training will take place Sunday prior to departing for Costa Rica on Monday.

“All of the players abroad and ones selected will travel to Costa Rica to meet up with the national team,” said Duarte.

“Once in Costa Rica, we are going to train in the Cibeles sporting complex, which is going to be our training base and from there we are going to do all our preparation before the match and later move on to Heredia where the match will take place,” added Duarte.

The Pinoleros boss also confirmed the return of FW Dani Cadena (24 caps, 3 goals) to the national team squad.

Cadena, who plays in Spain’s Segunda B with Merida, was not included in the Nicaragua squad that defeated Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 2-0 on CNL Matchday 1, but will be in Duarte’s squad for the Anguilla contest.

“This is a different opponent and as such it will be a different match to the one we had against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines,” said Duarte.

“I think that for this encounter against Anguilla I am going to need a man that can change the game for me and that can possess the ball more. What I’m looking for is to have him as a key alternative. From one moment to the next you have to carry out the rhythm of the match and I need players that have that experience and know how to manage the rhythm of play,” concluded Duarte.
