MIAMI, Florida – League C of the 2023-24 Concacaf Nations League returns on Thursday with two huge matches with promotion consequences.

British Virgin Islands vs. Dominica

Thursday could be a historic day for the British Virgin Islands, as they welcome in Dominica to the A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground in Road Town, BVI.

In a campaign in which BVI have already achieved their first ever CNL victory, they can now earn a first ever promotion if they are able to vanquish Dominica in front of the home fans.

Currently, BVI sit one point ahead of Dominica in Group C and a full three points would be enough to nail down a spot in League B the following season.

However, Dominica can make a return to League B should they come away with the full three points from Road Town, making this one a must-watch.

While a draw would still keep BVI ahead in the table, it would shift the advantage to Dominica, who face Turks and Caicos Islands to close out the group.

BVI will turn to Luka Chalwell and Tyler Forbes in attack. Chalwell has three goals on the campaign, while Forbes has been one of the key playmakers with four assists.

Dominica will counter with Troy Jules and Briel Thomas. Jules has two goals and an assist, while Thomas has a pair of goals, including a score in the first meeting between these two sides, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

US Virgin Islands vs. Aruba

Promotion could also be on the docket for Aruba if they are able to defeat US Virgin Islands in Group B action at the Bethlehem Soccer Complex in Saint Croix, USVI.

Aruba were 3-1 winners in their first meeting back in October with all three goals coming in the second half from Rovien Ostiana, Diederick Luydens and Mishawn Molina.

For Aruba, a victory would be enough to secure promotion to League B for the next campaign, but they first must deal with a USVI team led by James Mack III who has two career CNL goals.

Aiding the cause are Jimson St. Louis and Joshua Ramos. St. Louis has a goal from six shots, while Ramos has completed 54 passes and made three ball recoveries in two matches.
