MIAMI, Florida – The first round of matches in League B of the 2022-23 Concacaf Nations League wraps up with two historic encounters on Saturday. Group B will be in the spotlight as its four participants search for their first three points.

Bermuda will welcome Haiti to the Dame Flora Duffy National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish. Both nations look to begin their road back to League A with a statement opening win.

It will be the eighth encounter in a series where a tie has never been the end result. Bermuda has been victorious on one occasion while Haiti has taken the other six encounters. The most recent meeting came in the second round of 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup qualification, as Haiti took a 4-1 win thanks to a Frantzdy Pierrot hat-trick. Duckens Nazon also scored for Haiti, while Nahki Wells scored the lone goal for Bermuda.

Nahki Wells, who leads Bermuda with three CNL goals, will be the man in attack to watch for the home side. Pierrott is the leading scorer for Haiti in CNL, with two goals, and will also be looking to get on the scoresheet.

Montserrat vs. Guyana

Montserrat and Guyana close out the matchday at the Estadio Olimpico Felix Sanchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This will also mark a historic encounter, as it is the first time ever the two nations have met in official competition.

Both aspire to better their second place League B finishes in the prior edition of the tournament. While that booked the nations a place in the 2021 Gold Cup qualification tournament, neither was able to advance. With the automatic berth in sight, they’ll look to get an early start on a hopeful first place finish.

Trayon Bobb (4) leads Guyana in CNL scoring, while Montserrat has four players tied at one goal in CNL.
