BETHLEHEM, US Virgin Islands -- Barbados picked up a big three points in their Concacaf Nations League C campaign with a 4-0 win on Tuesday evening to extend their lead at the top of Group A.

Omani Leacock opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a powerful volley over a fully stretched out Lionel Brown.

Things remained open and fast-paced after the goal, with both sides threatening to strike at any moment, but no one was able to find the net for the rest of the first half.

The Tridents have proven accurate from free kicks so far in the Nations League, and Rashad Jules’ 61st minute effort off the crossbar was nearly their latest dead ball scalp.

After a brief power outage in the 77th minute, it was the visitors who seemed to get more out of the impromptu time out, with Jules chipping Brown just seconds after play resumed to double the lead.

Armando Lashley would tack on a third in the 80th minute, and Zico Phillips headed home the fourth and final in the 90th minute.

The victory puts Barbados on nine points and they will be watching closely to see if the Cayman Islands win later on Tuesday and keep pace with them at the top of the table.

The US Virgin Islands are six points back with just two games to play.
