MANAGUA, Nicaragua—The 2024 Concacaf Futsal Championship is in the history books following Panama's 4-3 victory over Cuba in the final on Saturday night at the Polideportivo Alexis Arguello in Managua, Nicaragua.

The champions led the way with top performances throughout the tournament including the following players who earned individual distinctions.

Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank: Alfonso Maquensi, Panama

Alfonso Maquensi was named the recipient of the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank for his involvement in helping Panama to its first Concacaf Futsal Championship.

Maquensi penned his name on the scoresheet on three instances, including a brace against Canada in the group stage to help the team seal first place in Group B and a spot in the quarterfinals.

His play in the knockout stage led to contributions in wins over the United States, Guatemala, and Cuba. Maquensi scored in the semifinal against Guatemala and provided an assist in the opening goal of the final.Ƨ

Best Goalkeeper Award: Jaime PeƱaloza, Panama

Jaime PeƱaloza was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament for his play with champions Panama. He stood out in the final for seeing out the result in a close encounter and kept every offense he faced to three goals or less.

Top Scorer Award, presented by Qatar Airways: Marvin Sandoval, Guatemala

Marvin Sandoval finished the tournament with the Top Scorer Award, presented by Qatar Airways for his seven goals with Guatemala. He scored in all but one of the six matches he played in the tournament.

Sandoval scored in all three group stage matches to help Guatemala win Group C. He scored a brace against the United States in the final group stage match and Mexico in the quarterfinals. His goal in the third-place match led to a bronze medal for the Chapines.

Young Player Award, presented by Aramco: Kevin Rueda, Cuba

Cuba goalkeeper Kevin Rueda has won the Young Player Award, presented by ARAMCO. The 20-year-old played with composure beyond his years to help Cuba challenge for the crown, finishing as the runners-up by the minimal difference.

Rueda shined in the semifinals against Costa Rica with two saves in the penalty shootout, including the winning save to eliminate the former defending champions.

Fair Play Award: Panama

Panama have earned the Fair Play Award as the team that best conducted themselves throughout the tournament.
