CHICAGO – United States women’s national team head coach Jill Ellis will open Monday a 21-day training camp that will run through January 25 with 29 players at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, California.

The gathering is highlighted by the inclusion of forward Abby Wambach, who was recently named 2014 CONCACAF Player of the Year and midfielder Carli Lloyd, Golden Ball winner at the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Championship.

The Americans are working towards the shaping a 23-player roster for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be played in Canada this June.

The CONCACAF champion returns to international play with a pair of away matches next month against France (February 8 in Lorient) and England (February 13 in Milton Keynes).
